Final Shipment Inspection

What it is: Final Shipment Inspections check for quality and quantity issues after production is at least 80% completed and either at the factory, or less often at the forwarder or reseller's warehouse.
When to use: Use just this service if your budget allows for only one inspection. If concerned about shipment delay due to product reworking or dispute, add an IPI.
In-Process Inspection

What it is: In-Process Inspections are performed during the production process so that any quality control issues can be more quickly and easily resolved and any delays in the shipping schedule avoided.
When to use: Use this service if quality control issues could cause shipment delay, product reworking expense, or unwanted confrontation with the factory or supplier.
First Article Inspection

What it is: First Article Inspection is the critical analysis of the first item manufactured to verify correct setup, correct process alignment, and to verify that the product is in the correct, specified configuration.
When to use: Use this service if your product is being manufactured in a manner where the quality of the first unit produced will likely represent future units.
Container Loading Check

What it is: Container Loading Checks are performed during the loading process to assure the correct quantity of cartons are loaded. If requested, results can usually be reported back in real-time.
When to use: Use this service if your main concern is receiving the correct number of cartons or crates, or that the cartons/crates are correctly loaded. Not a quality check.
MFG Process Supervision

What it is: Manufacturing Process Supervisions are performed during production to assure that the specified processes are followed, thereby avoiding unwanted product reworking time/expense.
When to use: Use this service if you must ensure that the product is manufactured correctly the first time through. An FSI inspection is also highly suggested.
Defect Sorting Inspection

What it is: Defect Sorting Inspections help avoid product reworking time and expense by sorting out defectives prior to shipment. Defectives are pulled from the shipment and the remaining goods are shipped.
When to use: Use this service if your main objective is immediate shipment of the remaining defect-free units. Factory labor is utlizied to assist in sorting through the goods.
